The price of white cotton socks in Denmark is about five times as high as in the USA. I explain how the price of socks has a lot to say about the Danish economic system.

I first of all love that you use socks as an example that was brilliant and the reason why I decided to listen to the podcast. Also, living anywhere these days is expensive especially in first world countries like Denmark. However the best part about Denmark and Europe is that mass transportation is AMAZING. If I moved there I would never drive unless I had too.

IT doesn’t sound all that bad, I live in London and the taxes here are outrageous and my mum tells me that they always have been. I was able to visit Denmark on Holiday a couple of years ago and just loved a great place to relax and such wonderful people.

To be honest with you, one of the reasons I moved from Denmark to the States was not only a better job, but because living in Denmark is so expensive. I had a pretty good job in Denmark and still felt like I was barely getting by each month. Sure I pay a lot of taxes in the US, but nothing like in Denmark.
